HISTORY
Founded in Vicenza in 1966 by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro, Bottega Veneta quickly established itself as a brand for the confident yet understated connoisseur, known for its fine leather goods and non-branded philosophy, epitomized by the slogan, "When your own initials are enough." In the late 70s, under the leadership of Laura Moltedo, the brand gained recognition from artists and celebrities, including Andy Warhol. After a decline in the 90s, Bottega was revitalized in 2001 when acquired by the Gucci Group, with Tomas Maier restoring the brand's focus on craftsmanship and the iconic Intrecciato weave, further solidifying its reputation for timeless luxury.
