HISTORY
Silhouette was founded in 1964 by Anneliese and Arnold Schmied in Austria. Silhouette eyewear stands for classic design, which is also in tune with the spirit of the age. Innovative materials and puristic design define the unmistakable lightness of their eyewear.
FEATURE
Silhouette has revolutionized the world of eyewear with the world's lightest glasses. In 1999, they released the Titan Minimal Art (TMA) model, which they patented as the world’s lightest eyewear. Weighing just 1.8 grams and assembled without screws or hinges, ‘TMA – The Icon’ revolutionized the eyewear market. In 2000, the TMA was certified for space travel and had flown on many space missions.
