HISTORY


In 2001, Thom Browne began his business with five suits in a small, appointment-only shop in New York City's West Village. Over the years, he expanded to include complete ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrance collections for men, women, and children. Browne is renowned for his highly conceptual runway presentations that have gained global attention for their dramatic themes and settings. As of January 1, 2023, Browne serves as Chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and has received numerous awards, including the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year. His designs are recognized by museums worldwide, and he is currently Artist-In-Residence at Notre Dame. The brand is offered in over 300 department stores and boutiques across 40 countries, with 107 retail locations in key cities. Since 2018, Thom Browne has been part of the Zegna Group, which holds 90% ownership and is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
